春の平安神宮は、約20種類約300本の桜が咲き誇る、京都屈指の桜の名所です。特に、ソメイヨシノが散る頃に見頃を迎える「紅しだれ桜」が有名で、美しい紅色の花が神苑を彩ります。

In spring, Heian Shrine is one of Kyoto's most famous cherry blossom viewing spots, with around 300 cherry trees of around 20 different varieties in full bloom. The shrine is especially famous for the "red weeping cherry tree," which reaches its peak around the time the Somei Yoshino cherry blossoms fall, and its beautiful crimson flowers adorn the shrine gardens.
